1. Information we collect

You provide:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password.
• Buy Boxes: the buying criteria you publish (markets, budget, property type, purchase structure).
• Deals: property details you publish (address, price, terms, photos, documents).
• Messages you send to other users through the Site.
• Verification materials, if you choose to provide them (for example, proof of funds or pre-approval letters).
• Payment information, when paid features are offered: processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, searches, filters used, device and browser type, approximate location (from IP address).
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

2. How we use your information

• To operate the Site: accounts, matching Buy Boxes with Deals, search and filters.
• To communicate with you: match notifications, Buy Box reconfirmation reminders, and other transactional messages by email or, when SMS is offered, by SMS (see Section 2A).
• To verify accounts and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
• When subscriptions are offered, to process subscription payments and manage billing.
• To improve the Site and analyze usage (in aggregate or de-identified form where possible).

2A. Mobile information and SMS data

We may offer SMS messages; they are not available yet. When SMS is offered and you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to SMS messages:

• We collect your phone number, your opt-in record (date, time, and the consent language you agreed to), and message delivery status.
• We use this information solely to send you the SMS messages described in Section 9 of our Terms of Service and to handle opt-outs.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and SMS opt-in data are shared only with our messaging service providers (e.g., our SMS delivery provider and mobile carriers) as necessary to transmit the messages you requested.
• Text messaging originator and consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing.

3. What is public and what is not

• Buy Boxes and Deals you publish are public and visible to all Site visitors, including search engines.
• Your email address is not displayed to the general public. If you post a home buying request (Buy Box), your email address and telephone number are not disclosed to other users, including Professional subscribers; you choose whether to share contact details in a conversation. Buyer telephone numbers are used only by the Site for notifications. When a Professional subscription is offered, seller email addresses may be made available to users with an active Professional subscription.
• Messages between users are private to the participants, but we may access them for safety and Terms enforcement.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Site (hosting, email/SMS delivery, analytics, payment processing) — they may use it only to provide their services to us.
• Other users, as described in Section 3.
• Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• A buyer of our business, in case of a merger or acquisition (we will notify you).

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language), and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Site and comply with legal obligations. If you ask us to delete your account (by writing to info@carolineimhome.com), we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except for information we must retain by law. Public Buy Boxes and Deals may remain in backups or cached copies for a limited period.

7. Your rights and choices

You may at any time:

• access or correct your account information in your account settings, and request deletion of your account by writing to info@carolineimhome.com;
• request a copy of your personal data or its deletion by writing to info@carolineimhome.com;
• opt out of marketing messages (transactional service messages, such as reconfirmation reminders, will continue while your account is active).

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them.
